13 September 2025 (sunny and hot 31C) 0km
After being up in the night, I finally woke at 6.30am.
We'd had the air conditioning on since about 12am, I think, as it was just so hot. Decided to take the togs and go for a walk to places not yet seen.
Reached the front and took a right turn. This was new ground for us and included a prom.
Pretty cool entrance to one of the many bar/restaurants they have here.
Looks to be the party area of town as big screens were showing the action in one of the open air plaza cafe/ restaurants/ nightclubs. Looked pretty cool too. Lots of lighting effects and people enjoying themselves.
Took ourselves around the bay, but as soon as the bars dwindled out, there was nothing left to see.
There was a bar with beach not too far back and only one lady swimming out in front, whilst her husband sat watching.
Although there was some early movement from staff just beginning to set up, they weren't bothered by us going swimming, or with the workout we did afterwards.
Best of all was the water was cool and clear and the small area we worked out in, was pretty deserted.
Nice little changing hut to protect the locals from severe nudity before a lovely stroll back to the apartment, stopping for a few items on the way.
After a lovely breakfast, we had a great talk with Shaz, Roger and Swiss, who were watching the All Blacks get demolished by South Africa in their heaviest defeat ever.
So good chatting, which we did until 11.30am with half the day gone.
We've been asked by family and friends if we're ready to come home yet and its interesting.
Of course we miss everyone and are really looking forward to catching up, but after cycling for so long we're in a rhythm.
Well at least we were until we took this break here in Ksamil. But we're looking forward to the Corfu section and we are hoping the road and driving quality is better, so we can enjoy the experience again.
Had an hour and a half kip, which has shown us that we are still needing to catch up on some sleep. We are just very grateful to have air conditioning as the heat is just so oppressive.
Made an omelette for lunch and then followed Everton v Aston Villa on the timeline.
Game finished 0 - 0.
At 6.30pm I called one of our friends on the Wirral, in England. Alexis is a beautiful person and its always good to see her. Great singer too.
Looking to stay with her for a couple of nights, one of which will include a trip to Manchester.
She is a great singer and has a gig on there so that should be cool.
Shot out to Fourth Island, our eating place of choice here.
They do gluten free, so it's a no brainer as it's taken us this whole trip to find a place that does, in the towns we've visited.
Once again, the meal was nice and we just wandered home afterwards.
